Terms of Service - Looplets

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Looplets ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Looplets is a private, members-only platform that facilitates connections between people with spare rooms ("Room Providers") and people looking for rooms ("Room Seekers"). We are not an estate agent or a property marketplace. The Platform is not a party to any rental or tenancy agreements made between members.

3. Eligibility and Access

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform.
Access to the Platform is subject to verification requirements at our discretion.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Each individual may maintain only one account.

4. Verification

Members may be required to complete identity verification and submit supporting documentation. Verification is intended to reduce fraud risk but does not constitute a guarantee of identity, background, suitability, or conduct. You represent that all information and documents submitted for verification are accurate, authentic, and not misleading.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following:

Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Submitting forged, altered, or fraudulent verification documents
Misrepresenting your identity, role, or property ownership/management status
Harassing, threatening, or abusing other members
Circumventing platform security or verification mechanisms
Using the Platform for unlawful purposes
Scraping, harvesting, or collecting member data without authorisation

6. Content and Listings

Members are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of content they post, including listings and requests. The Platform does not verify the accuracy of listing details, property conditions, or rental terms. Members should exercise due diligence before entering any arrangement.

7. Reporting and Enforcement

Members may report suspected violations of these Terms or community policies. We reserve the right to investigate reports, remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion without prior notice for policy violations or suspected fraudulent activity.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform and its operators shall not be liable for any disputes, damages, losses, or claims arising from: (a) interactions between members; (b) rental or tenancy arrangements made through the Platform; (c) the conduct, identity, or representations of any member; or (d) reliance on verification status.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Platform and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to members. Continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
